Why Apps Reign Supreme

The word “app” gets tossed around, but there’s much more to them than the mozzarella sticks you order before dinner. Here’s our take.

The term “APP” has become so common, we forget to acknowledge it was a specialized term generally only used in corporate environments five years ago. How and why have it become the dominant everyday technology term?

There's an App for That

Medical apps may be running wild, but not if the FDA has its way.

August 06, 2013

With growing concerns over patient safety, app effectiveness, and compliance to other laws, notably HIPAA, the FDA is stepping in. And the pictures that were placed so perfectly are in a crazy collage. Now that article has become unreadable, and you’re never going to that site again.

Luckily, there’s a fix for that.

A Labor Union Engages its Membership via the Web

MTC builds a new look and a membership portal for IATSE Local 481 New England, Studio Mechanics

May 30, 2013

It includes members from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont who work on TV commercials, movies and films with wide ranging fields such as such as gaffers, set construction, costume design and sound.

The local works hard to ensure members are employed, educated and active in the community, but their outdated website was holding them back. This is where MTC stepped in.
